Georgios Tsonos graduated from Physics Department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in
1993. He received his first MSc Degree in Environmental Physics from the Aristotle University
of Thessaloniki in 1997 and his second MSc Degree in Microsystems and Nanodevices from the National
Technical University of Athens in 2008. He worked as Laboratory Assistant at the Department of Electronics and
the Department of Information and Computer Technology of Technological Educational Institute of Lamia from 2001 todate. His
research interests are focused on the development of thin films, semiconductor materials by using the
method of Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD), on characterization of thin films (morphological characterization
by AFM, structural characterization by XRD, electrical characterization, using
Van der Pauw method, which included Hall measurements, optical characterization) and
on applications of thin films on gas sensors.
